'Prodigy' Showcases Up and Coming Talent

Prodigy, a David Saxe Production, is a new show that features some of the most naturally talented performers in the world. Tickets are $19.95 Monday through Thursday, and $24.95 Friday through Sunday.

Witness a wonderful juggler, musician, vocalist, dancer and other types of entertainers as they astound you with their feats. As young as 5 years old, some of these performers have been featured on Oprah, The Tonight Show, David Letterman, and are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.


R&B Sounds of The Spinners, Blue Notes

July 31

Enjoy the music of two soul music classic vocal groups, The Spinners and Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Saturday, July 31 at 8pm. Tickets are $35 and $45. The Spinners hits include "Rubberband Man," "One of A Kind (Love Affair) and "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love." The Blue Notes noteworthy hits are "If You Don't Know Me By Now," "The Love I Lost," "Don't Leave Me This Way" and "I Love You."


Tie One on with Tony Orlando

August 6-7

Singer/actor Tony Orlando brings his energenic show featuring such hits as "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree," "Sweet Gypsy Rose" and "Knock Three Times," to the Trop August 6 at 9pm and August 7 at 8pm. Tickets are $25, $30, $35 and $65.


Comic Musings by Pat Cooper

August 13

Pat Cooper brings his sharp wit and humorous stories about his Italian upbringing and family to the stage of the Tropicana showroom on Friday, Aug. 13 at 9pm. Tickets are $20, $25, $30 and $50. Pasquale Caputo, aka Pat Cooper, continues to entertain standing room only audiences with his lovable "comedic anger."

For nearly four decades Pat has appeared on many stages, from comedy clubs to major theaters, including the legendary Copacabana, Westbury Music Theater, Trump Castle, Caesar's Palace, the MGM Grand Hotel and Trop World.


Summer Doo Wop at Trop

August 14-15

Classic doo wop and rock 'n'roll will fill the air when the Trop presents a Summer Doo Wop show starring Charlie Thomas' Drifters, the Del Vikings, Emil Stuccbio & the Classics and Kenny Vance & the Planotones. Tickets are $25, $30 and $35.


Boardwalk & Crystal Court

Spicy Dancing By Samba Novo

Ongoing

Six days a week, beginning on the boardwalk outside The MarketPlace, Samba Novo puts on the show. Featuring five free shows daily except Tuesday at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 8pm, and 9pm, five authentic Brazilian dancers perform individual interpretations of the hot and risqué Samba throughout the casino floor with a climactic finale in the Crystal Court. Music and beats are provided by the thumping of three Brazilian and Portuguese drum sets: the Repinique (lead drum); the Caxi (snare drum); and the Surdo (bass drum).


Laughfest at The Comedy Stop

The Comedy Stop features talented comics. Showtimes are Sun. to Thurs., 10pm, and Fri. and Sat., 9 & 11:15pm. Tickets are $19 Monday to Thursday; $22 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Friday 11:15pm show is non-smoking. Local Appreciation Night for Atlantic, Ocean and Cape May county residents is Friday at 9 & 11:15pm. Get two tickets and a bag of popcorn for $19 (cash purchases only, subject to availability). Appearing now through Aug. 1 are John Wessling, Mike Donovan and Andres Fernandez. Andres Fernandez is extremely likable from the moment he steps on stage, his charm coupled with his comedy make for an unbeatable combination. Mike Donovan has appeared on the Showtime channel and has had his routines featured on ESPN's Sports Center.

Appearing August 2-8 are Al Romas, Michael Summerville and Alex House.
